Jesus said ... "I am the Way"

How Could Jesus Be The Only Way To God?

'Some think God is being "narrow-minded" if Jesus is the only way.
But the issue is: "Why is there any way to God?"
If humankind could have reached God by any other way,
God would not have sacrificed His only Son.

Rather than complain that there aren't more ways to God,
the proper response should be to marvel that there is a way
and accept it with a heart of gratitude.'

How Does Someone Become a Christian?

More people than ever are asking, "How do you become a Christian?"
The item below is written to answer that question. It's not about going to church. It's not about how good you may be. It's all about faith.

How To Become a Christian

If you have asked yourself the question, "What do I have to do to become a Christian" well, the great thing is this. Very little! Jesus did the hard part on our behalf - on the cross. The Bible - particularly the New Testament - offers truth about the way to salvation, and if you have already made the decision to follow Christ, but you're not sure what steps to take, here is a simple explanation of what is necessary. This applies to everyone because Christ died for all.

Here's How

1. Admit you are a sinner and turn away from sin. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (NIV)

Acts 3:19 says: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (NIV)

2. Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sins and give you eternal life. John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (NLT)

3. Come to Him by faith. In John 14:6 Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (NLT)

4. A sincere statement to God is next. You can pray yourself, using your own words. There is no special formula. Just pray from your heart to God.

5. Now, don't doubt. Salvation is by grace, through faith. There's nothing you did, or ever can do, to deserve it. It's a free gift from God. All you have to do is receive it!

6. Last, tell someone about your decision. Romans 10:9-10 says, "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (NIV)

A Comment: Jesus Christ is not Lord at all unless He is Lord of all aspects of life. This is the challenge to those who would follow Christ. If you become a Christian, nourish your faith by reading the Bible and mixing with Christian people.

Bibles are available online, in libraries and in most bookstores.
